Guest Strip for Pea Green Coffee Cup!

Hey all, Jared Cullum (Pea Green Coffee Cup) is in Florida this week at the Sequential Art Workshop and asked me to do a guest strip in his absence. Head on over and check it out!

Josh Bauman authored Monday’s strip and it’s beautiful!

Jared’s comics are consistently solid, hilarious and well worth a look if you don’t read his work already. He is after all, as I’ve noted before the guy who convinced me to do 2816 in the first place.

This is but a fraction of the whole strip over on Pea Green! Check it out!

Sketchbook: Rabbit Hole

This is how I feel after coming up for air after delving deep into a web project. Code is the windiest rabbit hole I know of.

Speaking of code, I just launched a new site! Very excited about this one, design and development were all on my plate this time. VCUarts GDES

45,000 wild butts appeared!

So my day job at VCUarts typically consists of web design and development. A few weeks ago however I was asked to put my comicker skills to good use and illustrate the phrase “I worked my tail off”. That illustration has been used in our Senior Planner and this amazing sticker sheet! It’s hard to see in the photo but the man and his butt are separate stickers! How cool is that?

Needless to say I am very excited to have been paid to draw a cartoon butt for the #1 public arts school in the country.

The school recently mailed most of the 45,000 print run of these around the world so let me know if you get one!

So I figure since practice is always a good idea and I’m not going to be updating 2816 proper for a couple months yet I might as well posts some sketches in the interim.

Here’s one:
