2816 hasn’t been updated for a while because I’m in the middle of another project with a September deadline. Jared Cullum of Pea Green Coffee Cup had this great idea to get a bunch of folks together for a 24 hour comic. Bizhan Khodabandeh took that idea and whipped it into what promises to be an amazing comics exhibition/24 hour comic event this September at a local gallery. Not sure if I’m allowed to give any more details than that so I’ll let either of them do so in the comments if they want.
2816 Monument WILL return after this comic is finished. The rest of the 2816 is written and I am very excited to finally reach the conclusion.
Anyways I’ve been working on a rather large comic for the show that I am super excited about finally producing. It’s something I wrote several years ago but had no reason to produce it since it is not in book format and has to be displayed on a rather large gallery wall which I didn’t have access to until now. The piece is roughly 10×10 feet comprised of 400 square panels with stories intersecting like a giant crossword puzzle influencing each other as they overlap.
I’ll be releasing panels from the comic on google+ over the coming months. One or more everyday is my plan. If that sort of thing interests you go ahead on over and drop me in a circle.
For now here’s a short sequence and an inked panel to give you an idea of what to expect.
