The gang is getting bailed out of jail and we all want to know why.
To avoid screwing the story up by just having Landon go crazy and getting everyone arrested for kicks, I’m spending some serious time on figuring out why he went crazy the night before. As a result I’m pretty much writing the rest of 2816. I know how it all ends now so currently I’m working on how we get to that ending.
The progression that remains unwritten is of course where we are now. I know what Landon did but as I said before I’m working out the particulars of why he did what he did. Those details are coming together and hopefully when this is all said and done you will be as satisfied the results as I hope to be.
I’m not sure how much longer the story is in terms of updates but you could say we are nearing the climax that leads to the denouement. There’s a lot to cover yet but 2816 will not go on forever. It is becoming clear that this story will fit into a nice little episode in Paul’s life that he will be able to tell his grandkids about.
Update monday? Not sure. Probably not yet. I think I want to let these revelations about Calypso and Landon soak for a bit before committing them to ink.

Bummer- I hate to hear it’s coming to an end.
It has been a fantastic ride and I feel like it’s just begun. Excited to see what you create though!
Well it’s not ending particularly soon, this thing goes slow. But yes there is an end and I can see it.
I was hoping that this would be going for a couple years but I can understand a need to end.
Any word on when we get more?
I should probably right a blog post about that I guess. I have the rest figured out the next big chunk written and thumbed and could get going at any point I think. I am however trying to jam through a massive comic installation for september that has to get done. I’m also making major headway on Punch Hug which is another project that has been in the works for about 10 years.
I want to sit down and finish 2816 but at the same time I don’t want to cork up what I feel like is a long over due rush of creativity.
It will get done. I’m just trying not to hold myself to an artificial schedule. I don’t know when the updates will start again, but it will happen this year. There is I’m guessing maybe 50 pages or so left to do to finish the story.
