Don’t be fooled you can do anything at any size. The web is great for the infinite page as well, but you know, restrictions can be a good thing too.

I am a raw beginner at cartooning & seem to end up with all sorts of different size strips. I will give these sizes a go & see if I can keep them more uniform in size. As you say Restrictions can be a good thing too
I’ve found that when trying to do something with the potential for a print run of any kind, sticking to dimensions are a really good thing. I’ve done enough things with no plan for how they would ultimately be produced and ended up with no practical way of using them. It’s always disappointing…
