To all those early birds who checked today’s update before 9.52am EST – apologies. I somehow forgot to put the sepia background color in there. It has been updated. Thanks for reading!
Bought some proper watercolor paper and new paints this weekend. After some initial utter failures I managed to get this painting of Captain Kittenface to turn out okay. Watercolor is hard! Also I need waterproof inks if I want to color a comic or something.

Calypso and Landon rocking out like the old days. There are a ton of bits and pieces from their past that won’t make it into the strip but is still very much of part of those two. This is a bit that likely won’t make it. But how cool would it be to do a photo album from their rock and roll days??!
Anyways, I’ve been doing daily drawings now since mid-February. Today’s drawing happens to be very relevant to 2816. If you want to see the rest I post them on Instagram, Google+, Tumblr, Twitter, and facebook.

Join Little Fish Studio as we look at the various challenges that artists go through for their art. This will be a lively discussion.
Super excited for this one, it should be a TON of fun!

Continuing a small series of attempts to pain the gang. This time I finally found my acrylics! Have to admit though I’m liking a good watery gauche better. Interested to see about some good old fashion water color but that will have to wait as I have none and won’t be making the art store trip for a bit.

I’ve been messing around with guache lately in my daily drawings. Tonight I did one of Calypso. Quite a bit to learn and definitely figuring out a lot of things not to do but it’s been fun stepping out of the comfort zone lately.

If you like this one you can find a ton more on instagram. New drawings/paintings/something creative every single day without all the sushi and cat pics.
